Glow Church on the Gold Coast was founded in 2013, by Joel & Ellen Cave. A small group of 20 people where the catalyst for its humble beginnings. The church has now quickly become one of the fastest growing churches in Australian history. The dynamic growth and intentional raising up of leaders, led to the planting of other locations throughout Australia, including a Church in Sydney and a Church in Melbourne.
Glow now has multiple locations around the World including the United Kingdom and soon to launch into the USA and South Korea.
Glow Church, in its own words ‘is a church committed to seeing the lost found, prodigals come home and people dream and see vision come into reality’. It’s a church full of all different ages, diversity, ethnicity and a commitment to friendly, genuine, authentic community.
Despite Covid restrictions on gatherings and in-person attendance at many of its Australian locations, especially Sydney and Melbourne, Glow has continued to grow in both size and influence in the community. Thanks to cutting edge technology, the church was able to connect for live weekly service, accessible through their ‘online campus’ or streaming via their YouTube channel.
Glow has incredible community outreach endeavors that support drug and rehabilitation programs, support for women fleeing domestic violence situations, homelessness and youth programs.
Glow started a youth program seven years ago to provide a place for youth of the Gold Coast to connect, have fun and hear a life-giving and positive message centered around The Gospel. Today, that youth program attracts over 300 high school aged kids (13 – 17yrs) every Friday night and is endorsed and supported by local police, high schools and other community programs.
Glow also supports various overseas aid endeavors including supporting an orphanage of over 20 children in Bolivia, a teacher training college in Myanmar and supports Convoy of Hope feed thousands of children in extreme poverty each year.
