TAKING a holiday has paid off for Denmark couple Betty and Joseph Quick.
Mrs Quick was the 50,000th passenger to take a break on Classic International Cruises (CIC).
CIC reached the milestone in February when Mr and Mrs Quick booked a 24-night return cruise to Asia.
The Quicks have sailed with CIC every year since its first season in Perth in 2004, including twice in the 2006-07 season.
They have sailed on seven CIC cruises aboard Funchal, Athena and Arion and have already booked their eighth cruise – a 20-night cruise on Athena for next February from Fremantle.
As the 50,000th and 50,001st passengers for CIC in Australia, they received a free five-night cruise aboard Athena from Fremantle next summer, as well as champagne and a souvenir picture of Athena.
CIC managing director Grant Hunter said up to 50 per cent of passengers on Athena on any given cruise were repeat customers.
