NINE years after it was devastated in a powerful cyclone, the internationally award-winning Eco Beach in WA’s Kimberley is set to re-open to guests from July this year.
Perched on the edge of the Indian Ocean and bordered by the rugged sunburnt cliffs of the pristine Kimberley coastline, the luxury retreat is just an hour’s drive from Broome and surrounded by unspoilt but accessible wilderness.
Discerning travellers will appreciate watching migrating whales while sitting at the bar enjoying a cold beer, or the thrill of a seasonal moonlit trip to view nesting turtles or perhaps the exhilaration of catching a mud crab or barramundi.
Guests may choose to start their day with a complimentary yoga class then soak up the sun on the ocean-view pool deck, occasionally cooling off in the ‘infinity’ pool.
There is the option of rejuvenating in the privacy of their own room or enjoying a soothing massage in one of Eco’s relaxation suites.
By night guests can be entertained with live music, modern Australian cuisine and |cooling cocktails at Jack’s Bar & |Restaurant.
They can then go to a self-sustaining solar- powered Eco Villa or a patented safari-style Eco Tent with a changing view of the ocean, sunsets and stars.
Whatever guests choose, this is a holiday experience for those who appreciate raw yet sophisticated adventures encompassing |the beach, bush, creek |and general tranquillity |of the wilderness.
