MITSUBISHI Australia will add a limited edition Platinum model to its Lancer range, and other Platinum examples to its Outlander, Pajero and ASX vehicles.
Based on the ES, the Lancer Platinum has upgrades with extra safety, convenience and style.
There’s a reversing camera and reversing sensors, giving greater visibility and awareness.
When reverse gear is engaged, the camera monitor appears in the electro-chromatic mirror.
Inside, there’s leather seat trim, heated front seats and powered driver’s seat with slide, recline and height adjustment.
The leather-rimmed steering wheel has audio and phone controls and voice-activated Bluetooth 2.0.
The car’s sporty lines have been enhanced by the addition of 16-inch alloy wheels, side airdams, a chrome muffler tip and a special Platinum badge, and the sedan model gets a rear spoiler.
The Lancer Platinum uses a 2.0-litre dual overhead cam four-cylinder engine, and is available in both manual and CVT transmissions, and in sportback or sedan body styles.
Safety gear includes Active Stability Control, seven airbags, ABS with Electronic Brake Force Distribution and a body with front crumple zones.
The Lancer Platinum will be on sale at $21,690 for the manual and $24,190 for the automatic.
