ALZHEIMER’S Australia WA (AAWA) hopes to break down the stigma and myths surrounding dementia through a new initiative encouraging dinner parties.

AAWA is running a Dine4Dementia campaign to encourage people touched by dementia to hold a conversation with their family and friends about the disease over a meal.

Participants can host either a lunch or dinner at home, with guests encouraged to donate to Alzheimer’s Australia WA in lieu of bringing a gift for the host.

The highest fundraising host will win a fully catered dinner for eight cooked by WA’s celebrity fishmonger Josh Catalano.

The campaign will run for at least another month. To register or for information, visit www.dine4dementia.com.au.
