A FESTIVAL to celebrate the English summer tradition of drinking cider will make its home in Mindarie Marina next month.

Starting on Friday, January 15, the three-day family-friendly event called Ciderfest 2010 will see The Boat Ale House offer a range of samples from local, national and international origins.

Venue manager Clive Fentum said every taste would be catered for.

“From Westons to the much sought after Little Creatures Pip Squeak,” he said.

“There will be a local and international flavour on the tasting agenda and if you class yourself as a bit of a ‘cider head’, you’ll also see some very old favourites thrown into the mix.”

Live entertainment, competitions and children’s activities will also be available on the day.
