NATASHA Hinett and Erica Allia are two entrepreneurial women with a vision and are at the forefront of not only designing fashion, but representing other WA designers who need a platform to launch into the competitive world of retail fashion.

Over a bottle of bubbly, we discussed all that is Martini and Coz/T & E Agency/Raspberry and pop.

All of their designs and textile prints are created in Perth and manufactured in Perth and Indonesia, with their inspiration and sourcing for fabrics and textile designs done during their travels.

Raspberry + Pop has more of a free-spirited image, inspired by fashion and music festivals of the past and present.

Both Erica and Natasha were born in the 1970s and believe their love of boho chic and mixing it up with old-school glamour gives this label a true essence of what is fun in fashion.

Martini + Coz, meanwhile, was inspired by the love and timelessness of old glamour.

Their new collection, Image of a girl, is derived from the inspirational images of Edie Sedgwick from her early days as a model and muse.

“We were inspired by their love affair of something old and mixing it with something new,” Erica said.

“Inspired by everything and everywhere we go – Paris in the spring time, 1920s jazz bars and old films, quirky finds from scouring flea markets/op shops, use of soft and polished leathers and vintage scarves/fabrics to represent the true essence of what our label is about.

“Our playful and pretty dreams and fantasies of princesses, fairies and magical friends from faraway places full of beauty have inspired our creations of unique and fun pieces.”

T & E Agency was launched in April, 2008, and has a simple work ethic: it’s all about supporting WA designers, giving them a support and guidance into entering the fashion market.

As well as Martini + Coz and Raspberry + Pop, T & E Agency represents WA labels Little Gracie, On Tour and Nikki Loueza.
