LIMNIOS Property Group helped the Joondanna community raise awareness about the Joondanna Community Food Garden.
The garden was established by the City of Stirling in 2009.
It provides more than 20 individual garden plots for local residents for food gardening, using organic principles and practices.
The fundraising barbecue was attended by residents as well the City of Stirling deputy mayor Giovanni Italiano and Councillor David Michael.
Rob and Anna Stefanovski, from Limnios Property Group, helped to organise the event.
Limnios donated a barbecue to the garden while the sausages and prizes on the day were donated by other local businesses to help raise funds for maintenance and upkeep costs.
Mr Stefanovski said that he and his wife were more than happy to get involved as they were locals themselves.
“We are extremely grateful for the support of the local businesses who contributed towards the event,” he said.
“The Joondanna Community Food Garden is an excellent community project which has been supported by the local community.
“We hope that this event will raise awareness of this facility and encourage even more people in the local area to visit and use it.”
Mr Stefanovski said the food gardens would become a meeting point for the local community.
“There is an open space, which members of the public can visit and have picnics even though they may not have an allotment,” he said. n
