THE Pan Pacific Hotel provided a stunning venue for this year’s Acton Awards Night.
“We broke from tradition this year and held the awards on a Saturday – we had more than 320 staff members and their partners in attendance and it was a pleasure to see a large contingent from Acton South West join us,” Acton CEO Graeme Baxter said.
“We also welcomed Acton Coastal and Acton Mindarie to their first awards night.
“Over what has been a difficult 12 months in the market, the Acton team as a whole has excelled, with Acton Mount Lawley taking the Business of the Year award.”
Mr Baxter congratulated Carlos and Robin and the Mount Lawley team on a very successful year in a challenging market.
“It was a big night for Acton Mount Lawley,” he said.
“They were also named Property Management Team of the Year and licensee Robin Welsh received the award for Highest Number of Sales.
“Acton West director Bev Heymans was our overall Sales Champion and won the Rolex Award.”
Mr Baxter said that at this year’s ceremony, an auction was held to raise funds for Princess Margaret Hospital.
“Our brilliant auctioneers Darren Berley, Ryan Thompson and Craig Wildman took to the floor and auctioned a Bang & Olufsen entertainment system, Acer Iconia tablet and an iPad 2, raising $2900 for the children at PMH,” he said.
Chris Hutchison, from Acton Dalkeith, was honoured for his long service and commitment to the company through the Celebration Award.
“Chris has been part of the Acton family since 1989,” Mr Baxter said.
“He will be greatly missed, but after so many loyal and dedicated years we certainly wish him well for the future.
“It was a pleasure to see the surprise on the faces of the winners, and also to see some of our newer regions nominated for so many awards.” n
