THE inaugural Festival of Roses this weekend will serve as a fundraiser for the McGrath Foundation.
Entry to the event at Melville Nurseries on Masonmill Road, Carmel, is a gold coin donation and the proceeds will help the foundation with its breast cancer awareness programs.
Activities across the weekend will include gardening talks and demonstrations as well as displays of some of the latest release plants, including the Jane McGrath rose.
TV garden presenter Graham Ross will also be in attendance.
