SCANDINAVIAN Wallpaper & Decor is bringing a juicy slice of the Big Apple into Australian homes with its new NY Nature range of the wallpaper inspired by the concrete jungle where dreams are made.

Exclusive Australian distributor and company managing director Ann-Louise Lollo Jansson said the collection incorporated a range of contributions from different disciplines such as graphic design, illustration and photography.

It contains designs made up of 41 traditional printed wallpapers and two digital wallpaper murals.

Some of the range is very urban, while other designs are a mixture of urban prints and nature, or more traditional looking nature prints.

Fresh natural colours meet smoggy tones while delicate leaves, creeping vines and exotic flowers grow wild and unpredictably across the city that never sleeps.

“The use of colours in these prints makes the wallpapers suitable for both men and women,” Ann-Louise said.

“Some are very dark and bold while others are subtle and minimalistic.

“And they all capture the essence of New York, the pulse, the movements of people and cars in a big city.”

The Swedish interior designer said the range suited the Australian market as more people were living in urban areas and choosing to live in apartments.

‘In saying that, the prints are suitable for any modern home,” she said. “Today’s people, young and older, are seeking interiors that reflect their personalities and that help them to put their own stamp on where they live.

“The NY Nature range is mainly used for a feature wall to make a statement and there is no limitation on how many colours you can add to a digital printed wall mural.”

Ann-Louise said the murals were printed with the latest technology in digital print.

There is no pattern repeat; they are printed on-demand and are custom-made to the required size.

“The designs are very multi-purpose and can be used for any room, for any age group,” she said.

“This is certainly not a bland decoration. The only limitation is your imagination.”
