ZOEY Torrent decided to join Little Athletics when she was six and ever-dedicated to her training, the focused nine-year-old gets up every morning and goes jogging.

In 2012 she was the Little Athletics U9s champion girl, she won the Peel Districts silver medal for shot put and the bronze medal for hurdles at the U9s Little Athletics State Championships.

Zoey also excels in other sports.

She was runner-up champion girl at her school swimming carnival, won best |sportsmanship trophy for tennis and plays for the Silverettes netball team.

Zoey’s mother Renee said her daughter was talented at all sports she tried her hand at.

“She plays seasonal sports, trains hard, is passionate, competitive and is always improving,” she said.

Zoey said her favourite sports were triple jump and high jump.
