SECRET Harbour Surf Life Saving Club came second in the Surf Life Saving Country Championships at the weekend in a competition that attracted teams from around WA.
The club finished runner-up behind long-time rival Bunbury in the 13-team competition at Fremantle Beach.
The club had 59 members competing, including three boat crews who picked up a combined 253 points.
Two boat crews won medals – Secret Gems won bronze in the Open Female Division and Secret Six Packs won silver in the Reserves.
Jesika Bussey won six gold medals, Alannah Wilson won six medals, Sarah Wilson won five and Jacob McIvor, Sean Phillips, Joshua Woods, Jessica Williams and Breanna Bird won three medals each.
Stephanie Lowe, Christopher Collins, Chloe Downbia, Jordan Edgar and Joe Ford won two medals each, while Ben Roots, Aliesha Turley, Lauren Stewart, Liam Bates, Sam McGovern, Dion Stroot, Brooke Poad, Samantha Lowe and Mana Runnion also won medals.
The club also took part in the Masters State Championships on Saturday against 17 clubs, finishing 11th with 77 points.
Medallists included Secret Gems, Lee McGovern, Rob Bates, Rohan Pugh and Garry Williams.
The club will take part in the Junior State Championships on March 16 and 17 at Fremantle Beach.
