A NORTH Perth business owner is urging the community to keep an eye out for distinctive items stolen in a recent burglary at her beauty studio.

Bare Beauty Waxing owner Ky-Lee Owen said overnight on Wednesday, June 6, thieves stole about $15,000 of property.

Perth Tans, which operates in the studio, had a spray tanning extractor unit and spray tanning equipment and products stolen.

Five leopard-print cushions, six gold antique mirrors, and iPods and a stereo were among items taken from Bare Beauty Waxing.

Thieves also made off with smaller items including posters from the walls and a water cooler, through to false eyelashes and disposable g-strings.

Ms Owen said the theft was likely to have been premeditated, as the offenders would have needed to have had a ute or trailer to take all of the items.

She said this was the second burglary in seven months, after the studio relocated to North Perth from Subiaco last November.

“I felt sick,” Ms Owen said.

“We worked so hard to pay for everything and then these people come along in an instant and pinch all of our stuff. We were heartbroken.”

She said the one-off antique mirrors had been especially collected and encouraged people to be on the look-out for any of the stolen property.

Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area or has any information is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
