A BRUTAL gang attack at the weekend has left a teenager in hospital with a fractured skull and brain bruising.

The teenager was with three friends on Safety Bay Road, about 10.50pm on Saturday, when three carloads of men got out of their vehicles and attacked the group with baseball bats, golf clubs and sticks.

The injured teenager remains in Royal Perth Hospital. As well as a fractured skull, he suffered brain bruising and facial injuries.

Two of his three friends escaped uninjured while another had minor injuries.

Several of the attackers were seen in a late model Ford Falcon and a large dark blue sedan.
