AFTER 18 months of work at the corner of Sevenoaks and Wharf streets, the City of Canning is almost ready to unveil the Cannington Leisureplex.
The complex cost $36.5 million to design and build on the previously vacant lot and will officially open on September 5.
The Leisureplex, which supersedes the Queens Park Recreation Centre, Queens Park Library and Canning Aquatic Centre, includes multipurpose courts, a gym, library, pool and function rooms.
