Men charged over stickers

TWO men have been charged with posting racially motivated stickers around the Perth Hills earlier this year.

A 27-year-old man from High Wycombe and a 30-year old-man from Busselton will face court next month on 12 counts of criminal damage, after an investigation by officers from the State Security Investigation Group.

The stickers bore slogans including “Support your local skinheads” and offered a mobile phone number.

The stickers were found on a bus stop in Glen Forrest and in office windows in Midland near the Department of Aboriginal Affairs.

“The community can be assured that criminal activity of this nature will not be tolerated and all matters will be investigated thoroughly,” police said in a statement.

The stickers invited people to join a “Blood and Honour” forum for discussions on white power, skinheads and music groups that were planned for an Anzac Day concert in Perth in April. Links to the Blood and Honour forum, one of the most highly visited nationalist forums on the internet, also offered a mobile phone number.

Blood and Honour took its name from the motto of the Hitler Youth, Blut und Ehre. It has been banned in Spain, Russia and Germany.

The men were released on bail to appear before the Magistrates Court in Armadale on Friday, September 13.
