IONA Presentation College students Layla (6) and Mieli Smith (9) have their fairy costumes ready for the 2012 Kings Park Festival’s Wild Fairyland Festival.

The sisters posed among the everlastings on a sunny morning last week, with Layla choosing the dark pink flowers as her favourite.

The Smith family are regulars at the annual five-week Kings Park Festival that runs from September 1.

Youngsters are encouraged to dress as fairies, wizards, elves or pixies for the Wild Fairyland Festival at the Lotterywest Family Area on Sunday, October 7 that will include pony rides, theatre and magic shows.

There will be live music, theatre and roving entertainment at the Botanic Garden every Sunday, and for the first time, Kings Park will combine with UWA Extension to offer art, gardening and educational workshops.
