JIMMY Dean’s Diner Pty Ltd. has gone into voluntary liquidation, resulting in its Scarborough restaurant shutting its doors and casting doubts over the future of the Midland outlet.
The diner closed its doors last week and a sign reading “Attention, closed due to unforseen circumstances. Our apologies” was taped to the front door.
Ernst and Young are acting as the receivers and Ross’s Auctioneers and Valuers is holding a liquidation sale of the restaurant’s fittings on August 16.
Neither Jimmy Dean’s website, nor the phone numbers for its Midland, Scarborough or Armadale restaurants functioned late last week.
Jimmy Dean’s was contacted for comment but did not return phone calls.
Meanwhile, Darrell Lea in Midland Gate will remain open after the voluntary administrators of Darrell Lea Chocolate Shops and Ricci Remond Chocolate Company announced 32 company-owned stores closed on August 2.
The Midland store is one of 34 Darrell Lea branded stores to remain open. Those in WA to be closed included Hilarys Whitford City, Galleria, Cannington Westfield, and Joondalup.
