A CONTEST to find Australia’s naughtiest dog has been launched.
Dog trainers Bark Busters and animal healthcare company Vetalogica will provide prizes, including an in-home training service, designed to turn the winning bad pooch into a top dog.
A donation of $1000 to the RSPCA will also be made on the winner’s behalf.
Bark Busters northern suburbs representative and dog behaviourist Glen Guelfi said the competition was designed to prove “you can teach an old dog new tricks”.
“We have created this contest to highlight that you don’t need to give up on your dog, because every dog – even older ones – can be trained and be part of a happy and tranquil home,” he said.
Dogs of any breed or age that jump, bark, dig, pull, snarl, chew or suffer from separation anxiety qualify for the contest.
Owners could submit a photo, short story or video clip illustrating why their dog should take the title.
