TWO WA youth delegates to the UN Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen in December met Science Minister Troy Buswell at the Fremantle Arts Centre recently to tell him about their trip.

Gabby Howlett, of Wembley, and Braden Hill, of Hamilton Hill, were chosen to represent WA at the conference by the Australian Youth Climate Coalition.

Fremantle MLA Adele Carles, who was also at the arts centre get-together, said when she heard the two had not been able to obtain State or Federal funding for the trip, she helped them apply for funding through Mr Buswell.

“I was inspired and very impressed by the passion and motivation demonstrated by both these young delegates,” Ms Carles said.

“It was heartening that Troy Buswell… approved our application for support funding for these two.”
