IF you’ve always imagined yourself on the silver screen like Hollywood A-lister and former Warnbro Primary School student Sam Worthington, this weekend could be your big break, even if you do only feature as an extra.
A team of amateur filmmakers, including Anthony Wootton of Warnbro, will descend on the paved area next to the Gary Holland Community Centre In Kent Street at Rockingham Beach from 7am this Saturday and Sunday to craft their latest offering.
Manu Marmont: The World’s Greatest Mime is a five-to-seven minute film that Anthony and colleague Hayden Fortescue, both producers, will enter in the City of Rockingham Winter Short Film Festival in June.
And they need a crowd of people to join them as extras as they use 16mm film to shoot a cast of 10 in the beguiling story of a street performer forced to decide between breaking his self-imposed decade of silence or entertaining a young audience member.
