En route to socialise and raise money for charity

Comments:

EVERY Sunday a group of cyclists from the northern suburbs hits the road to raise money for charity.

Each rider donates a gold coin to compete in the Peleton Charity Shield, and all the money raised will be donated to a charity chosen by the winner.

Organiser Chris Howard said the cyclists met up in Jindalee in the morning and rode to either Two Rocks or Yanchep. They then went to the Blue Cube Cafe in Butler for a coffee and a chat. “Half of the total monies raised will go to the charity nominated by the top rider,” he said.

“The other half will go to another charity that is decided by a raffle against each rider’s total points.

“Points are earned for simply turning up, as well as finish position each Sunday.”

Mr Howard said new riders were always welcome. For inquiries, call him on 0421 083 688.
