IT’S rather coincidental that the City of Swan is pushing for more paid parking only six weeks after the State Liberal Party raised the same plan for metro parking; the same plan that the City of Melville and businesses smartly opposed.
The City of Swan needs to control its spending rather than ripping off shoppers and negating the encouragement for shoppers to shop in the area. If you want to annoy shoppers you charge them to shop, and in the process annoy the shop owners to boot.
