I’M not against the Fremantle Dockers seeking a new home ground, but why so far south in Cockburn?
Even though the new ground will have easy access to a rail service, many will agree that the community is sick and tired of seeing natural bushland and wildlife habitats ripped up and destroyed.
What’s wrong with the Coogee strip between Hamilton Road and Cockburn Road, which no doubt is reserved for housing that people can’t afford anymore?
As for the Cockburn site, the mayor should be totally against it.
