Better way to spend millions

THE Government is planning to ban P-plate drivers from owning or driving high-powered cars.

What about the 10,000 high-powered cars now on the road owned by P-platers?

If the Government is to buy back the cars it will cost millions? Alternatively, spend $20 million a year on advance driver training and trauma counselling.

Why have high powered cars in the first place. The anomalies are incredible - when the maximum driving speed in Australia is 110kmph why do we have cars that can go 300kmph. How about cars without the capacity to much exceed the maximum speed limit - and high about we not have cars that can go from 0kmph to whatever speed in how few seconds - it's all asking for trouble.

I think they should make it a new law that all new P-Platers are to be banned from high performance cars including diesils......... and i say all this as a 19 yr old L Plater !!!!!
