HORROR movies are without a doubt the male version of the ‘chick flick’ – apart from the latest actioner featuring Bruce Willis breaking heads, horror movies are very much the domain of men. Any film buff travelling to Asia – particularly Bali – is going to be hard-pressed not to pick up a buttload of pirate DVDs for next to nothing (not that I am condoning any illegal pirate-like activities).
But the real pleasure starts when you get them home and start reading the poorly translated critic quotes printed on the cover sleeves.

Nerds love George Lucas, they go nuts for the guy, they act like he is Dr Spock, Jesus, Britney, John, Paul, Ringo and George all rolled into one big buttery geek ball.
These nerds think he is a great storyteller, a genius and a visionary who ushered in the era of the summer blockbuster, pioneered computer animation, quite possibly repaired the hole in the o-zone layer and even healed a few.... more »
