I thought that as we approach the end of summer and start to look forward to some cooler weather in the coming months that we could see just how cool it can get in other parts of the world.

Winston Churchill is most famous as Britain's Prime Minister during World War 2 and his ability to inspire people with his legendary skills as an orator which left us with some of the most memorable speeches of the twentieth century.

We all know that one of the most important symbols at a wedding is the cutting of the wedding cake. It is usually the final ritual of the evening that confirms the newly created bond between a man and a woman.

Just when you thought extreme sports could not get any weirder, along comes extreme ironing.

By 'big things' I mean those really tacky statues, sculptures or objects which can be seen on the outskirts of many a small (and not so small) Australian town.
Of course, Australia is by no means the only country to indulge in this questionable art form but for some reason we seem to have taken to it with much more enthusiasm than any other.

Oscar Wilde was born in Dublin in 1854. He was a gifted poet, playwright, and wit who was a phenomenon in 19th century England. He took great pleasure in attacking Victorian narrow mindedness and hypocrisy.
