Membership in St John can be a great way to learn life saving skills, gain nationally recognized competencies, meet fantastic people, help your local community, and have fun doing it! Through St John young people are able to engage with an organization that allows them to have meaningful and relevant connection and contribution to their community, mentoring and role modeling in a safe environment, and real opportunities to develop their leadership and participation. Kalamunda Cadet Division is looking for vibrant young people to join St John Ambulance Volunteer First Aid, learn life saving skills, meet new people and have fun doing it. This is an excellent opportunity for locals aged between 8 – 25 years of age to become real life savers. In return for their commitment cadets receive training in all aspects of first aid and life saving providing them with the opportunity to attend many events throughout Perth free of charge as a St Johns Volunteer, there are also various competitions throughout Australia where local cadets have the opportunity to showcase their skills. Being a St John Junior or Cadet gives young people the opportunity to not only learn valuable life saving first aid but also to participate in Cadet Proficiency or Junior Interest Badge Programs.
