DELICIOUS wood-fired pizzas can now be enjoyed at Buffet Amici in Woodvale. For the first time since the family-run restaurant changed ownership in 2008, Buffet Amici has a new addition to its already jam-packed menu.
With a topping selection to suit any craving, diners can also ask for head chef Vladimir Durdevidi to custom make their pizza choice.
Why not try the house Amici special – topped with marinated garlic prawns, kalamata olives, roasted capsicum, crumbled feta and herbs – or the maximus with ham, olives, pepperoni, bacon, onion, capsicum, pineapple, fresh tomato and mozzarella.
Or for something a little bit different, the Mexican pizza is sure to please. It has ham, pepperoni, capsicum, onion, olives, chillies and mozzarella with assorted herbs and spices.
But the jewel of this restaurant’s menu is the feature buffet.
Everything from simple pumpkin soup to home-made meatballs to the more traditional penne pollo – chicken and mushrooms with a touch of sherry in a creamy sauce – or the lasagne made with three different cheeses are available here.
Seafood lovers also have their bases covered with Amici’s mussels served in a hot tomato sauce, or a selection of fresh fish of the day and juicy prawns.
A large range of take-away options are also available for order.
Weddings, First Communions, birthday parties, engagements – functions for up to 140 people can be catered for by Buffet Amici.
The restaurant is also BYO.
