STEP back in to colonial India at The Cove Indian Restaurant in Attadale.
The Cove is in a large renovated house, and invites you into its charming interior complete with Indian furniture, white linen, rattan fans and mouth-watering aromas.
Separate rooms give the restaurant a spacious yet intimate feel, and provide the perfect venue for private dinner parties of 10 to 20.
Enclosed veranda’s wrap around the house and overlook gardens and a swimming pool at the rear – an ideal setting for weddings and functions or to kick back with a pre-dinner cocktail.
When you are ready to eat, a chef’s plate offers an enticing selection of starters including prawn pakoras, curry samosas, chicken tikka, and seekh kebab served with a mint chutney and tangy tamarind sauce.
Gold plate award finalists three years running, The Cove has a large selection of mains including chicken, beef, lamb, seafood and vegetarian dishes.
Notable is the Saag Meat – a medium-spiced curry with a sauce made from finely ground spinach combined with spices and tender boneless lamb, or the Prawn Madras – tiger prawns cooked in a sour lemon juice sauce with fresh curry leaves, mustard seeds and finished with coconut milk.
A selection of tandoor baked breads helps soak up the delicious curries, and a traditional Indian dessert will finish the meal sweetly.
Buffet dinner on the weekends provides an easy dining option for groups, as do various set menus.
Presentation is of utmost importance at The Cove, and each dish is enhanced by its appearance and fragrance, along with excellent service and a friendly ambiance.
