NAMED after the Sheesh Mahal in India, a glass palace that is home to the Maharaja and his queen, Shish Mahal in South Perth dazzles diners with a stylish decor and delicious Indian cuisine.
The new restaurant, brightly decorated with mirrors and splashes of yellow gold, offers authentic North and South Indian cuisine.
Owner Lalith is no stranger to the restaurant business, having owned Agni Indian Restaurant in Innaloo.
“We pride ourselves on providing Indian like ‘naan’ other,” he said.
“Patrons can enjoy a smorgasbord positively brimming with Indian delights from Thursday to Sunday or try something satisfying from our a la carte menu.
“Takeaway is also very popular, with large servings ensuring diners get value for money.”
The smorgasbord is $30 per head and features more than 30 dishes, eight salads and 10 desserts, as well as condiments, naan bread and pappadums.
Choose from chicken tikka, onion bhaji, biryani rice, butter chicken, seafood curries and palak paneer, to name a few.
The a la carte menu offers entree platters, tandoori items and specialties like goat curry or special biryani with chicken, beef, lamb or goat.
