Inside the Roxby Thai Bar & Grill. Inside the Roxby Thai Bar & Grill.

I HAVE always judged the quality of a Thai restaurant by their green chicken curry.

A classic Thai dish, green curry should be hot and delicately balanced with subtle flavours.

After tasting the dish at the Roxby Thai, it was clear their chef is a master of the cuisine.

Flavoured with green chilli, coconut milk and exotic Thai spices, the generous serving contained just the right amount of heat, which lingered pleasantly on my palate.

The chef’s special sizzling satay lamb was also a standout dish, and exceptionally good value at only $19.50.

The slices of lamb fillet were deliciously tender in the flavoursome satay sauce.

Roxby Thai’s bar is equally impressive with 12 beers on tap, an extensive wine, cocktail and beer list, and tempting monthly specials like pints of Wahoo for $5.

Though specialising in authentic Thai cuisine, the restaurant also offers popular western dishes like fish and chips, chicken parmigiana and lamb shanks.

Though I didn’t have the room, Roxby Thai also have an extensive dessert menu, complete with tower sundaes and hot-fudge brownies that are sure to tempt even the strictest of dieters.
