It’s easy to see why Australians have had such a long love affair with Chinese food when you visit a restaurant like Phoenix Court.
Even on a weeknight, the restaurant was buzzing with families dining in, with waves of take away orders flowing steadily from the kitchen.
The service maintained its excellent standards throughout the night, which is testament to the hard work of their attentive staff.
Phoenix Court’s cuisine features classic Chinese dishes like Mongolian Beef, Satay Chicken and Honey Chicken just to name a few.
The selection of perfectly cooked seafood on offer is also impressive, with dishes like the salt, pepper and chilli squid cooked crispy on the outside and deliciously tender on the inside.
According to co-owner Joe Siaw, the key to the restaurant’s success is the flexibility it has with its dishes.
“If someone has a dietary requirement, we will make a dish without the ingredient,” he said.
“If you would like something a bit spicier or some more authentic dishes, let us know and we will cater to that too. It’s all about the experience; we want you to have fun when you come here and leave the rest to us.”
Take-away and delivery is available.
The restaurant is open from Wednesday to Mondays from 5 - 9pm for dinner and from 11am - 2pm for lunch on Mondays to Fridays (except Tuesdays when the restaurant is closed).
