KNOWN for good value, Paddy Malone’s offers a contemporary twist on pub food – along with the traditional Irish favourites.

Celebrating its third birthday last November, the Irish pub has taken things up a notch with its summer menu and the return of full alfresco dining.

Designed by head chef Michael Lock and sous chef Mark Goldsmith, the menu provides generous-sized portions and a range of taste sensations to suit any craving.

Offering daily meals for $10, available all-day every day, value for money is easy to find.

There are also the ever-popular $16 dinner specials available.

Monday is pie and pint night with your choice of one of four pies, including Paddy Malone’s signature beef and Guinness pie.

Or head down on Tuesday for the curry in a hurry where diners can enjoy a choice of two different British- style meat curries.

Every Wednesday night is chicken parmigiana night with a selection of toppings to enjoy.

All of these meals include a choice of a pint or glass of house wine.

Sundays see the traditional full roast make its home at the restaurant, with all the trimmings and delicious Yorkshire puddings.

But if you are looking for something lighter, there are also a number of seasonal salads like the summer salad – beetroot, soft Danish feta and baby spinach tossed with toasted pine nuts and an orange and cardamom dressing – or the nicoise salad with green beans, olives, red onion, tomato, baby potato and boiled egg tossed with a lemon and mustard dressing.

For meat lovers, there is the steak sandwich served with grilled scotch fillet, tomato, lettuce, cheese, red onion jam, chilli chutney and a side of chips.

Or, for the adventurous eater, try Paddy Malone’s Lump A Rump.

Only available on Saturday nights, this challenge requires a diner to eat 1kg of rump steak, chips and salad within 30 minutes.

The winner will receive a t-shirt and a certificate to celebrate their effort.

Every Wednesday night at Paddy Malone’s is the trivia night, starting from 8pm with lots of vouchers and prizes to be won.

With Australia Day coming up, it is time to get in early and book a spot at the restaurant for the long weekend celebrations.
