GREAT food is one thing, but what makes a really fantastic evening is a little entertainment.
That’s exactly what we got at the Esplanade Hotel Fremantle’s Panache on the Terrace.
The crisp white tables laden with sparkling cutlery and glasses immediately told us we were in for a special night.
The menu offered a variety of tantalising choices, but eventually I decided on the flambéed Steak Diane and my friend ordered the veal osso bucco.
When our lovely waitperson Belle wheeled the flambé trolley over to our table for the steak Diane, I knew this would be something above the average dining experience.
When the flames leapt up it almost felt like we were part of a show, as other curious diners looked on.
Belle informed us that she’s been flambéing for the past eight years, and for the past year at Panache on the Terrace and has never had it go awry, which I’m happy to say is a record that continues.
My steak was tender and juicy, having been cooked perfectly and the sauce was truly delicious.
My dining partner’s osso bucco was met with equal admiration.
Dessert was too tempting to pass up and my friend couldn’t go past the opportunity to experience the flambé trolley for herself and ordered the Crepes Suzette, while I had vanilla bean pannacotta with berry coulis.
Both meals were lip-smackingly good and left us completely satisfied.
A highlight of the evening was the service provided by the wait staff, who were ready whenever we were, but weren’t obtrusive.
However, what really stole the show was the flambé trolley and Belle’s exceptional skills.
So make your night a something special at Panache on the Terrace.
