AS the warmer weather approaches, out come the new menus and Bistro 38 at the Joondalup Resort has a summer lunch menu that sounds, looks and tastes delicious.

The fine dining, upper-market bistro-style menu is designed to suit all appetites from main dishes to lighter options to shared platters and even entrees that can be served as tapas.

Executive chef Claire Lewis said the bistro used mostly WA produce.

“We want to keep it more about WA than anywhere else,” she said.

“We’re also using this menu to look into the healthier options.”

The shared dishes have become a lunchtime feature, with two options available.

The seafood platter comes with half-shell scallops, tempura soft shell crab, chilli mussels, grilled tiger prawns, salt and pepper squid and smoked salmon, served with garlic bread, aioli and nam jam.

The meze platter comes with smoked ham, prosciutto, kabana chicken sausage, mortadella, presswurst with capsicum, olives, sun dried tomatoes and Persian feta with turkish bread.

For diners who prefer their own main meal for lunch, the wagyu beef burger is the way to go, with bacon, swiss cheese, tomato, red onion, avocado, aioli and tomato relish, served with coleslaw.

Open noon to 4pm every day for lunch, Bistro 38 offers a dining that has to be experienced – soaking up the sun surrounded by gardens and listening to trickling water while overlooking the resort pool.

With the summer lunch menu is set for release on December 7, Ms Lewis and her team are finalising the summer dinner menu.

The fully licensed restaurant is also open for buffet breakfast everyday from 6.30 to 10am, lunch from noon to 4pm and dinner from 6 to 9pm.
